Pearlescent solution

This ink additive gives your ink a delicate shimmer, perfect for accentuating your everyday colours. It’s equally striking on black paper as it is on white paper.

To use, simply add it to your mixed base colour, just like the diluting solution. As the pearlescent particles tend to separate easily, be sure to stir thoroughly with each addition.

Create your perfect shimmer by gradually adding the solution, testing as you go. For optimal writing experience, avoid adding more than the original amount of base ink.

The shimmer appearance varies depending on the amount of pearlescent solution and the ink colours used, so feel free to experiment with the ratio to find what works best. It can also be combined with the diluting solution to create a soft, pale pearlescent ink.

Before using the pearlescent solution

• The pearlescent solution is designed for dip pen use only. Avoid use with fountain pens and rollerball pens, as it may cause clogging.
• Shake the bottle well before use to distribute the pearlescent particles that may have settled at the bottom.

USE AND CARE

• For use with dip pens and glass pens only. Avoid use with fountain pens and rollerball pens, as the pearlescent particles may clog the nib and cause damage.
• Pearlescent particles may settle or separate. Shake well before use until fully distributed through the ink.
• When mixing, do not exceed the amount of ink being used.
• During extended use, stir regularly to keep the pearlescent particles from settling.
• Rinse the pen thoroughly after use. If any pearlescent residue remains, gently scrub with a soft toothbrush in water.
